1939 Houghton-Mifflin and Company children's hardcover picture book, Weekly Reader Children's Book Club edition.
This is a vintage used item, in good used condition, with some signs of age/wear; there is light rubbing/scuffing to surface of coverboards, minimal edgewear and some associated corner wear/rounding, minor points of distress/blemish, light wear along/about spine; demarcation to front interior coverboard. Interior pages show clean, fresh-white, with good preservation of full- and two-tone color illustrations and sharp black typeset; little wear/tanning. Spine remains straight/smooth, with visible shelfwear (top/base), while binding is still secure/square-in-hand. There are no excessive nicks, chips, rips, tears, perforations, stains, residue or repairs.
